I am a fairly new training manager that needs to develop my coaching skills and knowledge. My objective is to be able to further develop the coaching skills of retail jewellery store managers, their objective is to continually improve the selling skills of their staff in particular their ability to establish rapport, up sell, add on and close, by removing the 'fear' around these areas. I'm looking for an immediate course to give me a solid overview of the basics of coaching.

Blended Learning Option
Once you have satisfied your immediate requirement, you may wish to consider a blended learning programme when you come to provide similar training for your store managers.
Our approach only requires one day out of the workplace, but provides the content of a 3-day course, through a mixture of learning methods. We provide all the resources you need to deliver the classroom workshop, supported by an online learning course and a series of transfer of learning activities for manangers to use back on-the-job.
The course is based around the popular GROW model.
Do contact me offline if this would be of interest to you.

2 day course for Coaching Skills
Hi Adrian,
I work with a company specialising in business based coaching. We have helped a lot of major, well known organisations to achieve their delivery goals.
One of our services is a 2 day event called “High Impact Coaching” focusing on coaching styles and delivery.
I would be more than happy to help if you’d like to give me a call or email me.
Good luck in the meantime !

Coaching
Hi Adrian,
Having worked extensively in Retail, it’s great to see that some retailers have finally caught on to the power of coaching. It’s not something that’s used effectively within the Retail sector at the moment.
My partner and I use N.L.P techniques, as well as the GROW model mentioned in another reply, within our sessions.
We’ve found over the years that coaching is very much a culture, and we’ve helped many companies to cultivate a coaching culture within their organisation.
We concentrate initially on helping leaders understand exactly what coaching is, dispelling many coaching myths along the way. We can then move on to teaching the skills involved in successful coaching.
It would be great to discuss your objectives further and to see how we can help you in achieving them.
Please email us at jjlearning@aol.com
Kind Regards
Janette
Been there, done that!
Adrian, having been exactly in your shoes some years ago, my employer sent me on a 2 day coaching course with Performance Consultants, the people who invented the GROW model, if I remember rightly.
A simply excellent course – of all the many courses I attended in my career, this is one of the few that stands out as something that changed the way I operated – for the better. I think it was about £700 for the 2 days. You can find them at http://www.performanceconsultants.co.uk
I’m sure there are other very good providers, but I can’t speak for them! And David Hemery is simply a very nice guy too!
