I intend to run workshops on the Employment Zone for clients aged 50+. I'd like to know where to source material that will assist me in preparing these.
I am working with clients on Employment Zones to encourage them to seek employment. I have a special interest in this age group as the Government offer incentives to this group in the form of a lump sum (tax free) of £60 per week for one year, and £40 per week for part time. Whilst this may make some impression, there are other barriers to this group seeking to go into work.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

What is the underlying problem?
We have a large number of 50+ employees and also recruit people of all ages including 50+. We use the same type of training material for this group as any others dependent on skill mix and objectives. Job search seminars run for leavers under redundancy are also standard, although we do ensure that example cvs are appropriate. Have you investigated what is the root cause of the problem? For example, are you talking about women returners or long-term unemployed, who may lack confidence or unable to analyse transferable skills? Jenny
