I am delivering a short bitesize (2 hour) session as a module in part of a year long management programme. I plan to focus mainly on Putting First Things First (time, planning and priorities) and Sharpen Your Saw renewing yourself in four areas (physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual.) The workshop will be delivered just before Christmas and therefore has focus on 2012 and the year ahead for the managers. I have plenty of PPoint slides but am veering away from slides and want to have something different, reflective and yet remain relevant and challenging.
Thanks Ian

I would conduct an experiential workshop
Hi Ian,
When I deal with First things First, I ask my learners to do a journal(jotting down to-do lists and how they fared) for a week before the workshop. Then during the workshop I do a pair work, where each partner gets to be the busy star CEO or R& D Head or Principal (depending on their respective professions) while the other is a newbie in that profession.
Nothing spurs on a learner than playing the person he aspires to be…and having an understudy for whom he is a role-model.
You can use a similar model for "sharpen the saw"- a star professional’s speech on winning a lifetime achievement award or giving a commencement speech.
