7th International Clean Out Your Inbox Week: 20-24 January 2014 – Day 3 Keeping the Inbox Empty

default-16x9

Having cleaned out your inbox the trick now is to reduce the volume of email traffic which actually reaches your inbox.  This means taking ownership of your inbox and being assertive about what emails you choose to read.

For the rest of the week, prioritise each new email you receive and you decide: whether or not it makes its way:

  • directly to your inbox (must see);
  • a folder(nice to know and read later);
  • unsubscribe/trash (of novalue to me).

For the full plan of action click here.

Do share your progress; EmailFacebookTwitter  (using #cleaninbox)  There are two prizes today. One for the person who has made the best progress reducing the number of times they check their email and one for the person who has reduced the volume of email they receive most substantially (a copy of ‘Brilliant Email‘ for each winner).
