7th International Clean Out Your Inbox Week: 20-24 January 2014 – Day 4 Email Etiquette

default-16x9

By now hopefully most of you have relatively empty inboxes.  Playing email ping-pong is a major source of email overload.  However, that can easily be reduced by sending the right message right first time.  All you need is to use some really good email etiquette such as:

  • include a clear subject-line;
  • use a professional greeting and sign-off;
  • keep your message clear and concise.

Today the focus is on using email etiquette to reduce the number of emails you need to send and hence receive.  Remember the more emails you send the more you will receive.  For today's full action plan please click here.

To benchmark your personal email etiquette click here.

Do keep sharing your progress; EmailFacebookTwitter  (using #cleaninbox)  There is a prize for the person who has used email etiquette most effectively (a copy of ‘Brilliant Email‘).

Good luck: if this programme is working for you, contact us to discuss how we can run an in-company programme for your colleagues.
