The World's biggest lesson ever took place this morning in support of the Global Campaign for Education's demand for governments and world leaders to take urgent action to end illiteracy and get every child into school.
The World's biggest lesson's theme was quality education to end exclusion. There are currently 72 million children who are excluded from school around the world, for many reasons - including being poor, living in conflict areas, being disabled or orphaned. There are also 774 million adults gobally who have not been able to benefit from education, or learn how to read and write.
Douglas Alexander, the secretary of state for international development was taught by school children outside the parliamentary buildings in Westminster as part of the campaign.
Organisers hope that it will also qualify for the Guinness Book of Records.
