Anyone got any suggestions on a short course, that can be operated in house, on dealing with conflict. I am considering something along the lines of multiple choice questionnaire style, if such a thing exists.

Hello Laurence,
Where are you trying to get people to deal with conflict?
I can give you some suggestions on Anger Management, Managing Angry Customers, Dealing With Difficult Colleagues, Delivering Difficult News etc. But like a lot of things they’re circumstance specific.

This is an area of special interest to me, having a background in both multi-national general management (dealing with ‘sister companies’ is about the worst business conflict I know! – and if you have ever had to experience it, so will you!) and special studies subsequently in personality and behaviour at work and conflict resolution….

Conflict?
I think you need to broaden your scope on conflict. One perspective is that some conflict is good, some is negative.
It all depends on the situation. In a classroom aggressive conflict can destroy a class. I have had a gentleman in a class who did not like women asking questions. Obviously there was some issues, and experience taught me how to deal with it. Ignoring, Quiet words, raising to training manager, removal from course.
On the otherhand some conflict is good. Discussion and brainstorming ideas.
Hence I would initially look at conflict within organisations through a balanced manner.
