Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning at the Welsh Assembly (ELWA) Jane Davidson will officially launch Proskills, the Sector Skills Council for the process and manufacturing industries on March 15.
According to Davidson, the initiative will offer companies in Wales the opportunity to change the future of industrial training in the area by deciding how this skills instruction is provided across the sector.
Proskills is asking manufacturing and processing organisations to take part in Industry and Nation Groups to share their views on the programme. This, Davidson claims, is key to improving standards in the field.
Andy Bradburn has been appointed a National Manager for Wales, and is working with ELWA and developing the Welsh Nation Skill Report.
