Innovative and creative courses

default-16x9

I am looking for details of training companies who are getting away from the usual boring classroom, u-shaped layout training courses with never ending OHPs and lecture. What I want is innovation, creativity, something that will encouarge the same in the attendees. Discussion, sharing, activity - instead of the usual 2-day bore we see so often. This is for all types of courses - communication, teambuilding, leadership, assertiveness, etc.
Preferrably in Scotland, but I'm willing to have my people travel if that's what we need to do to get something new.
There must be someone out there doing something different!

  1. what is the need?
Claire, I think lots of people are looking for something new or different in training delivery these days.
If you’d like to tell me more about exactly what outcomes you’d like from these events I’ll provide you with some specifications and guidance. I do have some pretty unique thoughts on this.

  3. ‘Show’ us what you’re made of!
    Claire,

Why not come along to the Training Solutions show in June and check out people face to face. You can also look out for the TrainingZone stand and show us what unique ideas YOU have about the community and it’s services.

If you have a little more time then maybe the H.O.T Conference which is running in parallel. Have a look at https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/hot for more details.

  4. Training in a new light
We use a range called ‘Balance’designed to train managers in determining what is needed to reduce stress within the workplace. It is management training but can be adapted for supervisors or other workers and cascaded back. Great for team and ‘personality’ training events.

For further details phone on 0870 241 3998. It can be and is delivered all over the UK so can be done on your doorstep if required. Includes a number of outdoor activities as well as mind work. It is never boring- promise!

  5. All You need is ….Teamwork – With The Beatles
We are offering corporate clients something really different in 2001 – a fab two-day corporate teambuilding event called All Together Now’ – With The Beatles.

The event is the first of its kind to feature the Beatles as an analogy for teamworking and is developed around four ‘fab’ and fundamental teamworking lessons.

I would suggest that The Beatles were without question, the most successful team in the history of popular music, yet their achievements reach far beyond financial rewards and public acclaim. The event uses their songs, their statements, their actions, and the sheer magnetism of their individual personalities to illustrate the elements of successful team performance.

The event incorporates a whole host of exciting training activities to reinforce the four lessons including a Magical Mystery Tour Teamwork Challenge and creativity sessions at the legendary Jacaranda and Cavern Clubs. There is even a training session aboard a Mersey Ferry!!

As a National Training Award entry and Merseyside Innovation Award entry for 2001, this is a must for organisations like yours looking for a different approach to building and maintaining a successful team.

In short, it is the ultimate learning experience!

Whilst we can export the concept to Scotland, I am sure it would be worth your while to consider tavelling for this unique event.

If you would like to know more, please contact me because we have a number of other workshops that might be of interest to you.

  6. Fun learning with a purpose
    Hi Claire.
I’m an independent trainer and I, like you, shy away from ‘traditional’ training.
I use a variety of methods such as drama, team working, NLP and the outdoors to make sure that my events are fun, memorable and, above all, effective in making real changes in the way people work.
I’m happy to run events at any location, and, being freelance, my rates are very reasonable.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I hear your plea and here is our sixpenny worth of input.

It is in the nature of people development that essentially nothing is new. look at Shakespeare or Zen and the truths they contain. You will find ample material for a 21st Century Leadership or Change Management programme.
What we ALL do is to re-codify these stories and link them to a learning objective. There is nothing wrong with this as far as it goes. The challenge is create a delivery format that gets away from the deadly dull chalk & talk and towards a form that engages all our senses together.
We believe that a programme should be constructed around inter-action participation , experiment and structured playfulness. This of course puts a lot of emphasis on the skills of the Facilitator ( horrible U.S. style word but in this case appropriate ) to communicate thier energy and enthusiasm to lead the journey.
She/He would at different times lead, share with or even follow the group towards our agreed outcomes.
We use a combination of experiences to enable this FLOW in our people training.
These tools include : Drama based tools, Brain Gym, Synvergistic thinking, Game method, Dalcroze Eurythmics, Alexander Technique and good old common sense.
( Though it seems uncommonly uncommon )
This is our way of stimulating what is already inside your people.

I trust you enjoyed our contribution. Give us a call when you want to talk.

P.S. Did you know that children smile on average 200 times a day and adults only 15 times. Time to upgrade your smile ratio !

    Best Wishes
