I've been asked to suggest ideas for a department get together one evening next month (in city of london. The aim is to promote team spirit and for staff (about 40 people) to get to know each other a little more.
I'm aware that its notoriously hard to get everyone to attend these things. Any suggestions?

Team Building
Get the teams enthusiasm levels up and they will want to go along to the event. How about a ‘competition’ divide the 40 members into 5 teams of 8 and set them some challenges.
For example…..
Ten Pin Bowling
The Weakest Link type Quiz
Treasure/Scavenger Hunt
Set some tasks throughtout the week before, make it light hearted, and give prizes.
Ask the teams to come up with Team names, and team costumes etc.
