I have heard that there are some projects in Lancashire that provide European Social Fund money for Nursing Home Care staff wanting to take up Care NVQs. I have so far drawn a blank when looking for similar projects in the Yorkshire and Humberside Region. Any ideas?

You could contact your local Learning and Skills Council
The Learning and Skills Council for West Yorkshire currently has some funding through Workforce Development for not-for-profit organisations (until end March 2002). For contact details of other LSC’s in your area – http://www.lsc.gov.uk
Care Funding

I have been conducting some research to find funding without success. Lancashire LSC would not provide any funding, but would pay up to 50% for a management development programme.
Care tends not to be a priority within ESF.
