I am developing a system of assessment in the affective domain (to assess beliefs and attitudes) for groups of approximately 30 young people - has anyone had any successes with doing this sort of thing? I would like advice on references - books, web pages - where I could find out what works and what does not. I am particularly interested in using peer assessment and assessment which takes account of the 8 intelligences.

I have posted this recently, but it bares repeating.
I have used Peter Honey’s manual ‘Explore Your Values’ to help me recognize the values and culture of people I am working with. It is relatively simply questionnaire, but never the less, it works for me.
It can be used to look at the values and belief of people in the following areas:
Attitudes & Behaviour
Continuous Improvement
Learning Organisation
Empowerment
Feeling & Emotions
Influencing
Leading & Managing
Learning & Development
Mistakes
Motivation
Responsibility & Accountability
Strategic, thinking and planning
Clearly, some of these areas will be irrelevant to your research, some may not.
Here are the details:

Penny, you might find http://www.the360.co.uk really useful. We have developed an emotional intelligence questionnaire for the Pru and can collect the feedback via the web, but we can put any questionnaire on the web.
The sites which may be of interest are http://www.the360.co.uk and http://www.the360.co.uk/pru.
