The percentage of Britain’s population surfing the internet in the UK how risen from 27% ot 35% in a year with some 16 million internet users now surfing according to an annual survey by the Consumers Association. 45% of use are women. However, e-mail is now the preferred form of communication for only 5% of surfers (compared to a figure of 14% two years ago) according to a survey by Which? Online. Interestingly, the number of Britons preferring face to face communication has jumped from 39% to 67%. Are we to see the end of the e-mail generation?
