  1. Risk Management
The only published risk courses I have seen have been for the financial markets. I don’t know of any for the oil and gas industry but you might try the Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. However, I provide a risk management course but it is a general course and is always tailored to meet specific client needs. If you want to discuss it further let me know.
    Happy New Year!

  2. Suitable courses available at Shell?
If your problem is HSE risk management, the Shell Learning Centre in Noordwijkerhout, Holland has a number of HSE training courses which may be appropriate. These courses are of a very high standard and reflect Shell’s commitment to HSE in its business. Subject to space being available, these are sometimes open to non-Shell staff, although a connection with Shell is generally required. Please contact John Langeberg, HSE event organiser, on +31(0) 252 379 283, j.j.langeberg@siep.shell.com, to discuss your needs and see if anything might be suitable.

  3. I run risk mgt trg & have oil & gas exp.
I have worked with the major oil companies in Risk Management. This involves identifying hazards and probability of occurrence and developing plans to mitigate the risks.

I can deliver tailor made training, coaching, and advisory services. I also cover emergency response and crisis management.

  4. One day Risk Management appreciation
I work for a company called Euro Log that deliver a 1 day Project Risk Management appreciation course. We have given this course very successfully in many business sectors, including Oil and Gas. More details on our website http://www.eurolog.co.uk or call me on 0208 977 4407

  5. Risk Management for the Oil & Gas Industry
David – I work for Adacel Technologies in Europe; we have developed an experiential training simulator for Risk Management. It’s a tool that allows students to learn by doing, is PC based, very intensive and highly interactive. Aberdeen University currently use the product along with its sister product in Project Management for its degree courses in Petroleum engineering. Other companies within the Oil and Gas sector have also adopted it. In the first instance please visit our website where a brochure can be downloaded. If it looks of interest, please let me know and I can arrange to get a copy of the product to you. Regards, Alastair Shakeshaft
