Employees to sue Microsoft for discrimination

default-16x9

Seven current and former employees of Microsoft are planning on suing the company for discrimination, citing racial bias. The suit has been filed with the US District Court in Columbia, for around £3.3 billion. The employees have stated that there has been discrimination in evaluations, compensation, promotions, wrongful termination and retaliation.

A Microsoft spokesman stated that they do not tolerate discrimination in any of its employment practices and they are committed to ensuring that all employees get treated fairly, these types of issues are taken very seriously.

Microsoft's last case was the antitrust lawsuit brought up in the Washington federal court, filed by the Justice Department, where the District Judge, Thomas Penfield Jackson ordered the company to be split in two. This case is still under appeal.
