We already know about the IITT online course, plus the SOlihull College acreditation for Online Mentors.
Anyone done a course and could recommend we do it (or avoid it??!)
Thanks

Lettol
Jane,
Not specifically IT online mentoring, but the University of Sheffield has been developing its Learning and Teaching Online course – Lettol – for a couple of years, and we’ve heard good things. TrainingZone are exploring the use of this material.

Help is near to hand Jane
Jane,
There is a lot of activity on and around mentoring of late.
If you look in the toolkit section of this trainingzone you will find some of my freebie downloadable mentor material, including a fifty point diagnostic for targeting delelopment needs.
I find the City and Guilds Mentor Award is a flexible means of developing and externally accrediting mentors and mentoring programmes.
This would work well in an online environment.
Do get in touch if you think I can help further.
Regards.
