Spring Group Plc have put together a package of financial and training benefits for temporary and contracted workers employed through the Spring Group.

The service is available to all 2,700 staff employed in the three divisions of Spring - IT Services,General Services and Education Services - and is accessed via the website at spring.com. The site also offers one of the biggest on-line IT recruitment services in the UK.

Legal and General are providing a range of financial services, including pensions, ISAs and mortgages.

The training benefits available work on a system of 'Spring Learning Points', which are collected towards the cost of a course provided by Spring or another accredited training organisation.

This is thought to be the first time such a package of benefits has been made available to temporary and contracted staff in the UK, and reflects the trend towards self-managed careers.
