I'm looking for cheap (novelty) egg timers with approx 8-9 min duration for use in a training activity. Any body know where I can get such things?

Egg timers – the Kitchen Reject Shop
I got mine from the Kithcen Reject Shop (most big shopping centres) for about £2.99. Boots also have thema bit dearer.
I think they are a great idea and give them to groups when they have 30mins in a syndicate for example.
I know where you can get an eggtimer!!
Hi,
I have been scouring the country with no success for a one minute egg timer for a game I am producing, until today when I found a supplier!
Contact Gary Wyatt at Green Board Games:

They can provide egg timers for any length of time.
Good Luck!

Two ideas:
(1) Use a clockwork or battery cooking timer. They are less than £10, and come in some interesting novelty shapes, just for fun. Moreover, they allow you to set a whole range of different durations.
(2) Why not get your teams to make their own? Provide the team with sand, paper, funnels, jars, etc and give them time to make one!
