Empowered teams in manufatcturing
We are just embarking on a project to move to empowered team working. We are looking at teams being involved in all major business aspects which impinge on the manufacturing process – such as job costing, in team appraisel, in team inspection, in team bonus allocation (based on profit). There are many issues surrounding the project which will affect the whole company.
I would be interested in any case studies, particularly in manufacturing. The company strategies which underpin such structural changes are also of interest.
