As above, whilst I could spend months evaluating all the packages available, I need to get something up quickly on the intranet but can be developed and built upon later.
I aim to prepare lots of short modules on many topics and have some interactivity with students.

Have you looked at Intralearn?
Intralearn is a scalable solution for content, assessment and certification. Opta have this week formed traineasy.com as joint venture with Intralearn to market the software in the UK. It is easy to use and does not require specialist internet programming skills such as HTML or Java.
Look at http://www.intralearn.com and if you are intested please contact me via email or tel: 01481 233 255.

Seminar may be worth a look…..
Seminar ( at http://www.seminar.co.uk) looks quite good at first glance. They have a demo/evaluation CD they can send you.
LCS Learning Labs
Hi Rick, Introducing “Knowledge Pathways” -If you can drag and drop! – You can create multiple courses / assessments and deploy to mulitple users groups in minutes. This is not limited to end user courseware but does allow as you mention to build on this area where you may wish to add your own remediation, question types etc based on other electronic materials you may also like to incorporate later.

Don’t underestimate!
I use Macromedia Authorware which is specifically developed to deliver training over a variety of media, including intra/internet. Beware of claims from software suppliers & manufacturers stating how easy it is to get modules up and running, and published.
I recommend that you obtain evalaution copies of any software before you buy.
Good Luck!

Always Try It First!
Andy is right in suggesting that one should not purchase any software without having it demonstrated to your satisfaction – and if you don’t understand it don’t but it, you are heading for problems (= costs)down the line.
Intralearn is an Internet solution, it is not available on CD Rom for evaluation. If you have looked at the web site and want to follow through with no cost or comittment then email info@traineasy.com and ask for a username and password.

Web Enabled Learning (WEL)
Hewlett-Packard Education provide an Intranet based learning solution that may be able to meet your requirements. It is education content presented in an icon driven very user friendly way. Content can be accessed either via users current level(skill check available) or via a list of predefined tasks. These tasks can be completely tailored to be company specific and incorporate templates.
This is NOT a CBT standalone training solution but something we use to provide “just in time” information as part of a total solution.
Deliverable immediately is education content around Microsoft applications. WEL fully supports content development around specfic non IT proceedures and in practice has been developed to be totally company specific.
Costwise, as it is not software and just education content it is priced accordingly.
Should you require further information or a full demo contact me on 01344 368500 or marc_waters@hp.com
