The browser looks at a website that offers everything from a TNA template to a list of funny answers from 'Family Fortunes' - all selected with trainers in mind.
Businessballs.com is a website that often crops up in responses to Any Answers postings here on TrainingZone.co.uk, often in response to requests for tools, ice-breakers or team-building exercises. Set up in 1999 by Alan Chapman - the unusual name comes from a set of juggling balls that he used in his training and development work – Businessballs now boasts circa a million hits a month.
In modern website terms Businessballs is no beauty, it has an old-fashioned look about it, but go beyond the packaging and you'll find a site packed full of useful and useable bits and bobs.
On landing on the homepage, if you are looking for something specific scroll down to find the search facility, which works well. In the left hand bar, scroll down to find downloadable templates in PDF or word format. Further down the homepage those in need of inspiration will find links to the most popular sections of the site. The offerings here give you an idea of the range of material available, with links to information on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs motivational model, CV writing and pay rise tips and on to funny 'Family Fortunes' answers.
It's one for the favourites bar, but be warned, be disciplined or you could easily lose an afternoon browsing this site.
