Outdoor Training - why, when and how?

Synopsis:
This workshop will be about using the outdoors for training and development. The discussion will focus on practical issues. Please request (and offer!) advice, tips and solutions - whether you are a user or a provider of outdoor training.
Topics to be covered in the workshop:
- How to maximise learning from outdoor experiences during an outdoor programme.
- How to transfer learning after the event
- How to find the best outdoor training providers
- What objectives are best achieved through outdoor training - and how?
- How do you know if outdoor training is working?
- Users (and potential users) - what puts you off and what attracts you to outdoor training?
About the facilitator
The facilitator for this workshop is Roger Greenaway (Reviewing Skills Training) who provides trainer-training events in the UK and worldwide. Roger has worked throughout the outdoor 'industry' - adventure holidays, youth social work, outdoor management development and trainer-training. He has written books and articles on the subject and has carried out research projects at Brathay.
