The European Consortium for the Learning Organisation (ECLO) has put out a call for papers for its 8th international conference being held in Lisbon next May.
The key theme for the conference, planned for 16-18 May 2001, will be "The Discovery of the Learning Organisation" (the new management frontier), and the ECLO is keen to receive submissions from corporate practitioners, consultants and researchers which help "improve our understanding of the current challenges facing learning organisations."
The ECLO are looking for practical demonstrations of best practice within organisations and are particuarly keen to hear from those experimenting with new ideas and innovation or who are working to develop new tools and techniques.
Presentations or workshop sessions will last for 60 minutes in total. Initial submissions should be no more than 100 words long and should describe the form that the session will take - case study, theory, empirical study or tools and techniques. The deadline for submissions is 30 November.
Speakers will be expected to contribute to the cost of the event, which will be 595 euro for the full three days or 295 euro for one day.
Submissions should be sent to to ECLO, Venelle des Lauriers 8, B-1300 Wavre, Belgium, or e-mailed to info@eclo.org.
