The tough trading conditions that pervaded IT training in 2003 are shown in this year's IT Skills Research league table.
The table, which ranks companies in terms of revenue, found that all but one of its top ten suffered a dip in finances in 2003 compared to the previous year.
Parity Training came in at number one with revenues of £25.4m for the fiscal year 2003 (down by 7%) and overtook last year's highest earner Learning Tree International which pulled in £24.7m (16% lower than in 2002).
InterQuad Learning was the only company in the top ten that managed to boost its revenues by 58% to £14.1m. This increase meant the company leapt 10 places up the table from its 2002 ranking of 20.
To compile the list IT Skills Researchlooks at the companies' revenues but excludes that not made in the UK or derived from non-IT training.
It also excludes organisations whose revenue is derived principally from publicly funded training or from military/defence-specific IT training, training franchises whose revenues consist only of royalties and training brokers/portals.
