Are you a top training team? If so, the organisers of this years TD2001 award would like to hear from you!

If you've done something special to improve performance and are able to demonstrate influence and respect from management within your organisation, this is your chance to follow last year's winners Provident Insurance and runners-up Barclays Small Business Banking and TGI Friday's to gain national recognition for your efforts.

Training Magazine, published by Reed Business Information, has launched the annual award for the UK's Top Training Team in association with Raytheon Professional Services. Judges Andrew Forrest, learning and development director at the Industrial Society, Professor Mike Campbell, director of the Policy Research Institute at Leeds Metropolitan University and Colin Midson, operations director of lifting gear specialist Nim will be looking for entries which show high levels of achievement in two of the following three categories:

  • Integration with the organisation:How well does the team work with the rest of the organisation?
  • Top table influence: How well-developed are relationships with senior managers and directors?
  • Evaluation:How do you measure the value and quality of activities?

Your team can be any combination of individuals working together on training and development projects, provided they are a recognisable team within your organisation.

The winning team will receive their award at this year's Training Solutions Conference at the Birmingham NEC in June, the event running alongside TrainingZONE's own Hands On Training event. To enter for the award, complete an application form available from Jane King (tel: 020 8652 3941) or e-mail linda.lucas@rbi.co.uk.
