Editor's Note
=============
Have you made your New Year Learning Resolutions? The initiative lauched last week by the Campaign for Learning (in support of the National Year of Reading) has attracted considerable press interest. Tony Blair's resolution is to learn how to use his computer better; William Hague's is to learn Welsh. There are prizes for the most imaginative resolutions with tickets to the Millennium Dome to be won. Check out the Internet Monitor of TrainingZone for more details. Meanwhile, a happy, successful and peaceful New Year to you.

Pedagonet - Learning Resources Search Engine
--------------------------------------------
I recently received an invitation to submit information to this site which is claiming to be a 'learning materials and resources centre' with a search facility to find the resource you need. It uses a classified ads arrangement for people to post their needs and offers (similar to the Coaching Web within TrainingZone)
http://emily.sift.co.uk:8000/~9
Unfortunately, the Pedagonet service appears to be exclusively focused on North America and to be populated with virtually no resources! The categories are also somewhat esoteric and leave you wondering where to start looking for some topics. Has this really been put together by people who know anything about training? I'll try revisiting in a few months to see if anything's changed.
