On 28th September the new Learning Management Systems2GOTM service was launched by John Matchett Ltd (JML) in partnership with Vistorm, previously known as ESOFT Global. JML’s learning management solutions can now be rented and used over the internet.
Vistorm has recently been voted the European Application Service Provider (ASP) of the year. Customers using ASPs can enjoy application deployment that’s faster, more flexible and more cost-effective than ever before. Applications are hosted and delivered by secure internet connections to user desktops – or to people travelling with a laptop. Vistorm’s other ASP partners include Compaq, Microsoft, Citrix and RSA Security.
The ASP industry is in its embryonic phase: last year the industry was worth only $10 m but within five years IDC predicts that it will be worth $1.2 bn, and the UK will have an estimated, and substantial $325 m. One of the areas which the IDC report points to as being perfectly suited for the ASP model are Human Resource applications.
