There can be no doubt about it, coaching programmes are becoming
more commonplace in UK companies. Early findings from our
Training Trends 2005 survey show that, once again, more
organisations are planning to include coaching as part of their
staff development strategy. This week Rosey Village, training
co-ordinator at global engineering company MWH, gives a frank
account of the challenge in changing the organisation from an
"ask and tell" culture to one where self-directed development
and coaching are part of normal working life.
