Over 350 people have taken part in TrainingZONE's recent online survey into anticipated future working patterns amongst training and human resource professionals. The question we posed was:
As the much reported 'war for talent' amongst skilled professionals hots up, we asked whether HR professionals aimed to change their working patterns in the year ahead. The results show:
- 30% of you anticipate spending more time at work
- 30% of you will be looking for a new job with better pay
- 23% anticipate spending roughly the same amount of time at work
- 10% will spend less time at work, and
- just 7% plan to 'downsize' to a job involving less work
This suggests that training and HR professionals are a pretty satisfied bunch of people with a fair proportion who are ambitious to progress in their careers. The number of you looking for an easier life is less than comparable figures in other surveys carried out by our sister communities in accounting and law.
