AP Information Services, the business directory and database publishers, show for the first time their new Training Manager’s Yearbook 2000, a sister publication to the established Personnel Manager’s Yearbook on their stand (1614) at HRD 2000, Olympia, 4-8 April, 2000.

The new title pinpoints the departments responsible for staff training in 5,000 major UK companies and reveals how they organise staff training - in-house or through external trainers.

Company training budgets are also revealed, providing vital information not only for training professionals themselves, but also for providers of goods and services to a sector with an estimated spend of £10 billion in annual workforce development.

Key contact details of over 9300 top UK companies and networking information on the 4000 advisers and suppliers are detailed in the biggest ever Personnel Manager’s Year Book 1999/2000, now in its 15th edition.

Expanded to 1300 pages, the new edition of the directory has a challenging forward by Geoff Armstrong, director-general of the IPD. It also contains a section on employment legislation, providing an overview of trends and practices in the UK human resources industry.

Visitors to the AP stand will also be able to a view full demonstrations of the AP ListMaster CD-ROM, a flexible system that generates highly targeted lists for direct mail campaigns.

The CD-ROM contains over 100,000 named key decision-makers across a wide range of industry sectors including the major company contacts contained in both books. Information can be searched by geographical location, numbers of employees, company turnover and job title.

Once searches are finalised and saved, simply contact AP Information Services for a unique access code. Information can be immediately downloaded to allow mail merge or labels to be produced within seconds. Free updates are supplied to purchases for the first year.
