We are holding a two day Supervisory Skills Worksop on 21-22nd August. As a one off special offer the cost for this two-day workshop is £249 per delegate.
Objectives
As a bridge between management and staff, the supervisor has a vital role to play in translating business goals into effective day-to-day performance; to meet the expectations of both requires a clarity of purpose, organisational skills and the ability to communicate assertively.
This programme will provide supervisors with a clear understanding of the attitude, skills and knowledge that are needed in the role.
By attending the two-day programme participants will be better able to:
describe the role of the supervisor: their duties, goals and responsibilities and the key elements of the job
define in personal terms the qualities, knowledge and skills appropriate to this role
recognise and develop their personal leadership styles
understand and practise effective delegation
identify and understand the underlying needs of others
understand and practise the skills of assertion, active listening and feedback, to deal effectively with potentially awkward situations
respond flexibly to others to achieve objectives.
The workshop will cover the following areas:
Role of the Supervisor
Personal Planning and Organisation
Motivation
Leadership
Developing Staff
Assertiveness
Personal action plans
The workshop will be held at our venue in Tortworth, north of Bristol and is easily accessible from the M5.
