Hi - I am looking to pull together some training and resources to increase peoples' basic financial awareness and control of their personal finances: particularly important in this cash-strapped environment! The aim is to educate people to become better informed consumers: so would be looking to cover interest rates, loan terms, pension options etc etc rather than company finance.... Does anyone know of any good resources already out there on this??

the CAB
Hi Katherine
The Citizens Advice Bureau runs 14 Financial Capability Forums across the country; this is exactly what they have been promoting through a programme called “Now Let’s Talk Money”, get in touch with them to see if you can join their forum. You don’t say whether you are looking to generate income from this idea but if not you may be able to tap straight into the CAB offering; all the material is already there!

If your looking for something new and innovative you might consider an online games based approach?

Take a look at http://www.mymoneymatters.info/
It’s aimed at Citizenship teachers but looks like it could do what you want it to do.
