I'm often working with mixed groups these days, especially with a lot of Chinese and far easterners, on leadership programmes. I find the Adair model is quite acceptable to the classes, as they like the interplay between TTand I. But Situational Leadership? Doesn't always seem to be consistent with the cultures. Firstly, beause it is largely (I place a hostage to fortune here) about soft skills and interpersonal communications. Secondly, because of the different concept of how a leader should behave - Power Distance and so on. Anyone tried - or done - Situational Leadership with International groups?
