1. Training streams
   Hi Jasmin

   Regarding the different streams in training, trainers fall into two main groups.

   Some trainers are employed by commercial companies or the public services. These trainers have either been recruited directly into a training role, or they were hired initially in a different capacity then given a training role, or they applied when a vacancy for a trainer became available. As you want to break into training this would be the best route for you. You could write to prospective employers in your area with your CV, or post your CV on websites that employers use when looking for staff.

   Some trainers are self-employed, in a freelance capacity, doing training and consultancy work, for commercial companies or the public services, or they work for a self-employed freelance trainer. These trainers have usually started their career as employees of either commercial companies or the public services, and then decided to ‘go it alone’.

2. First steps on becoming a trainer
   I would suggest that you need to earn a recognised training qualification such as the City and Guilds 7302 Certificate in Learning. This course is available at UK Colleges in the evening and as 5 or 6 day courses at private training companies.The course has real credability and is assessed with the candidates delivering real training to the other candidates. 3. Getting into training
   Hi,

   I got into training, as Eddie refers to, through experience within the company and then training new starters in my own department before applying for a training role in our Learning and Development Department. I then formalised this by doing he CIPD Certificate In Training Practice through MOL (http://www.mol-openlearning.co.uk/cipd/courses/cert-tp/index.htm. I hope this helps.
