A potential client has asked if I have any evidence that using a 'mock' team to build a training session round has clear benefits. He wants to have something tangible for the key decision-makers. I used this method once with great success, but he can't just take my word for it. Have you used this before, or can you direct me to articles or case studies that discuss this as a method. No IT related cases please!

Que ?
Could you explain what you (or they) mean by a ‘mock team’ ? Thanks
Sorry!
By mock team, I mean one that is made up of completely fictitious characters that are similar to (but not exactly like) a managers own team. A ‘typical’ cross section if you like. Details regarding performance, personality, skills etc would be given to build up a picture of each person allowing managers to consider how they would manage that person in certain situations. Hope this helps!
Sorry
Never thought of using that technique. Any way you/the managers could get a bit closer to reality in some way ?
