Trainer Skills

default-16x9

Hi All

As part of some research I'm doing. I'd like to put this question to you all as training professionals, regardless of your role

"As a training professional, what are the top three skills you want to improve on?"

Many Thanks for your help

  1. Top 3
Improving the effeciency and precision of my Training Needs Analysis skills.

Improving the effeciency and precision of my Training Evaluation skills.

To improve my interpersonal communciation skills.

  2. only one!
Not that all the others are beyond improvement, of course, but the biggest thing for me is:

Getting clients to recognise that the benefits of training are to at least some extent, dependent on the opportunities and support trainees have to use the skills when they get back into the workplace.

  3. Trainer Skills
Amongst others, the three skills I would highlight as the ones I’d really like to develop are:
    1) Using evaluation effectively to improve the training I write and deliver
    2) Developing useful TNA process & procedures for use across a wide ranging customer base
    3) Making my delivery as interactive, stimulating and inspiring as possible

    Hope your research is useful.

  4. The tariner should have knowledge, skill and good attitude.
The trainer should have the technical know how in the subject matter very well, and he/she should also have very good skills in how to go about the different training techniques that are available for that particular area.
As a trainer your attitude towards training is a very important component as well because that could give your trainees more confident and trust in your delivery methods.

  5. My top three are, perhaps, more universal.
I tend to think globally about these issues, so:
    1) Trainers must be dynamic in all areas of communication–written verabal and non-verbal.
    2) Trainers must be role models and mentors everyday, all day.
    3) Trainers have to be able to show ‘buy in’ to their organization and demonstrate how all trainings lead back to the mission statement of their organization.
