Touch typing is not an area of expertise within my area, but i have recently received a request for guidance/coaching on how to touch type. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

E-learning solution
I’m not a touch-typist myself but I remember some years ago seeing a demo of a touch typing e-learning package called Mavis Beacon. I’m not sure where you would find out more but if you type Mavis Beacon into your web search engine, I’m sure you will find a supplier.
good luck

Typequick
Also try Type-Quick / Typequick (can’t remember how this product is named). It is excellent and I learned to touch-type from scratch (about 12 years ago) in about five weeks at a half-hour per day.
Good luck.
TypeQuick the way to go
Typequick definately did it for me.
Went from uncoordinated to about 60wpm using the program for about 15-20 minutes a day for a month or so.
touch typing
learndirect have a Keyboard A-Z course which deals with touch typing. (www.learndirect.co.uk)
You can also pick up CDs for less than £10 which ‘teach’ touch typing
Or there are a number of providers who advertise on the internet, some with free trials
Touch Typing software for free download
If you go to http://www.typingtutor.co.uk or http://www.learntotype.org.uk websites you can download a full version of the Touch Typist typing tutor software on a free trial basis.
The software is fully functioning and unrestricted.
The only limitation is that it’s supplied for a trial period only.
If you work hard then you gain some skills before the end of the trial period.
