Can anyone help me find out information about courses that are available in the UK to become a certified management coach?

Thanks and have a great day to you all,

  1. Always with the questions !
Sorry to answer a question with a question, but: why do you feel it is important to become a certified management coach ?

I’ve nothing to sell you, and no axe to grind. It just ties in with conversations we have been having with our clients. And having done some research into “accrediting bodies” I may be able to offer some advice.

If you want to take that discussion offline then feel free to email me (via my profile).

  2. CIPD as an information source for you
I suggest that you look at the CIPD article “buying coaching services”. This discusses the importance of accreditation in an industry which is mushrooming with people using the label of coach. At the end of the article it gives details of the main accreditation bodies and it also lists some of the providers. I hope this helps. Call or email me if you which to discuss further.

  3. My experience
I trained as an Executive/Business coach with an accredited organisation. Personally I think it is critical to explore the structure of the programme to ensure that there is a practical focus.

Please do email or phone if you want any further details: shirleygreenaway.com

  4. My research
I have recently completed a six-day course which is a first step towards a recognised qualification. I did masses of research and one other two-day course before making this choice. I am more than happy to share my research and views with you. You can contact me at vicki@pbd1.com

  5. Ken Hudson, Coaching qualification BTEC level 4
Go MAD Research & Consulting Group provide a Coaching Skills programme, which wouold give you the opportunity to gain a BTEC level 4 in coaching. Please feel free to contact me.

  6. Coach accreditation recognises prior experience
Many people have been coaching for years, long before coach training came on the scene. Find a course that supports prior learning, and perhaps look at http://www.associationforcoaching.com who have just launched their coach accreditation scheme that also recognises experience.
