Trainer/Coach?

default-16x9

I am all ready a quailed trainer and I are also studying to be a coach – corporate as well as personal. I need advice in the best way to join these two areas of expertise and make it work? I currently specialise in personal development and career coaching if this helps at all?

  1. Strategy
    Hi Elizabeth,

I established my own training business in Feb 2001 – it was the best thing I ever did. No more useless bosses and political crud from the company. Just concentrating on the courses and customers, it is really very rewarding.

I suggest you develop a strategy, think clearly how you are going to make a realistic income. Getting orders from strangers is not easy and marketing is expensive. So utilise your current contacts and try to get new business in parallel with existing clients, also network like mad. Spend time on developing the strategy, consider your products and unique selling points, it pays off in the end.

Have a word with your business link (not the chamber) Milton Keynes business link is Fab, but I know others around the country are patchy.

Don’t let anyone tell you it is easy or quick! But it does have great rewards.

Hope this has helped a bit?

Very best of Luck to you.

    Neil

Yes I would agree with Neil that you need to network as much as possible. It is a highly cost-effective form of promoting and marketing your business and becoming visible in the business community. If you live in the central Midlands area please email info@lightningconnection.biz and I can give you details of lots of networking events taking place where you can get started.
