Buddies & mentors for new employees

Hi All

I’m looking for advice/do’s & don’ts with regards to mentors or buddies for new starters joining an organisation.

Specifically the roles & responsibilities, who a mentor should be and shouldn’t be, things they mentor about, and things to stay away from – that kind of stuff!

Off-line responses are fine.

Any help much appreciated.

    I have a mentoring job aid that should suit your purpose.

    Although it’s intended for sponsored workplace mentoring supporting individual management development, the content and format are adaptable to other applications (e.g. new hire support).
