New ideas for personal organisation skills training?

default-16x9

Hi I am putting together an personal organisation skills programme for quite a cynical group who (I fear) will always find a reason why the standard approaches wont work for them. Any suggestions on new ideas or excercises which might help reinforce the learning would be gratefully received. I am deliberately avoiding the phrase Time Management as I feel it sets the wrong expectation of the session...

  1. Personal responsibility training
This reminds me of the first time management course I ever ran. Someone came up to me at the start and told me that they’d been on 5 time management courses already and none of them had worked. Naive as I was, I did at least realise that my workshop was probably going to be their sixth failure.

I usually find Steven Covey’s Circle of Influence helps get the message across that people can either take personal responsibility for making things happen or they can remain as victims to all that fate has to throw at them.
