Have you seen the whitepaper on Training Needs Analysis in the document library. It is written by Adval and you may find this helpful.

    Hi Dimashi
I have a range of freebie tools that you may want to consider. Just go to http://www.abctrainingsolutions.biz and follow the Free Trainer Resources link at the bottom of the page. I have a whole section on TNA and Evaluation Tools. Feel free to browse and adapt any for your own use.
    Hope that helps.

  4. TNA
I found some useful resources at http://www.businessballs.com
They have a template for working on a Skill Set and Behaviour Assessment. I have adapted this for our use and am currently running it out to a number of departments. So far so good, it is straightforward to use and helps quickly identify skill gaps. I like the format because once identified, you can look at whether this is a training need or whether there is some other reason for the result; thus you won’t end up throwing training at people for the sake of it. It also allows for input from the person whose skills are being assessed, as well as their line manager. I’ve found that making it the responsibility of both people spreads helps the ‘buy-in’.
For product knowledge based assessments, we use product tests to identify weaker areas.

    Hope this helps
