Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me or point me in the right direction for training materials for a POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults) Training. I have recently started my new role and need to run a course on POVA. Anything that could help me build my training course would be very much appreciated.

Jessica, hello and happy new year. You don’t state whether or not your course is for carers, POVA themselves, or about the skills or legal sides involved.
Certainly from a skills perspective, I’d recommend the work of Dr Stephen Gilligan (www.stephengilligan.com). His teachings are powerful, exciting and fun, too. He’s in London early 2006 running a course.
