Monitor Training by partner company

Hi,
I am responsible for training super users that work for a partner company. Does anyone have experience of how I can monitor and track the training carried out by these super users to ensure it is consistent and effective, and that the training is actually carried out!

  1. Using evaluation
    We work quite regularly with people from different organisations and a good way of getting a picture of how they are presenting their training is through the anaylsis of evaluations. You can easily work together to create the forms so that it does not look like you are trying to impose spcific questions on them if that is a problem. We tend to ask if objectives of the day have been met and also ask about the quality of the presentations and workshops. As long as you also use the same evaluation forms yourslef it should not cause any problemes.

  2. Assessing Training Delivery Skills

    Regular assessments against clearly defined and clearly understood criteria are obviously the key to ensuring training consistency and effectiveness. These enable the objective identification of development needs or refresher training and are an essential part of any training quality assurance programme.

    The Training Foundation offers a specialist Trainer Assessment Programme (TAP®) Assessor course for Trainers that hold a TAP® Certificate in Training Delivery Skills and that work for an organisation that has adopted TAP® as an in-house training reference standard: e.g. all NHS Trusts.

    This is designed for trainers or training managers that have been designated to carry out regular assessment of in-house or external trainers as part of their own internal quality control procedures.

    Delegates are then able to assess trainers against the Training Delivery Skills criteria, including potential new training staff and external trainers before/after awarding contracts.

    I would imagine that a register of training events and a set of carefully designed feedback sheets would suffice to ensure that training is actually carried out.
