I am looking to gain qualifications that will enable me to contract for work in assessment centres. I have noticed that many current 'assessors' have BPS Level A & B + Intermediate, etc. qualifications and I want to know more about this. Can anyone shed some light for me.
Additionally, I want to know how MBTI , Cattell 16PF questionnaire, etc. fit into the BPS framework (if at all?).
After all of this can anyone suggest good training providers (for my quick / immediate training) for any of the answers given.
I'm not asking for much am I?!
Thanks for your hard work in helping me.

The expert assessor
In my experience, assessment centres often include assessors who are level A or level B trained.
Level a allows you to administer and interpret ability tests.
Level b allows you to interpret and feedback personality questionnaires (including the MBTI and 16pf)
Having these qualifications would not only make you a more qualified assessor (able to integrate psychometric data into assessment centre scores), it would enhance your coaching skills – particularly if you train to level B.
In terms of trainers I would recommend JCA (occupational psychologists) Ltd, who are experts in the field and have trainers who are BPS verifiers. They offer public courses as well as flexible one-to-one options. Contact Sarah Speers on 01242239238
Good luck!
