I am currently revamping our Performance Management training and would like to include more action-based learning exercises. Our framework places equal emphasis on competencies and objectives. Any ideas??

Since action learning is about real life situations that are used for learning opportunities, it is a little difficult to give you specifics. However individuals should be put together as a team to work on a group project. Ideally each member operates in another functional area (not their own) and learns from that experience. I have always find it important to do some work with the group first on understanding themself and working with others, team roles, problem solving techniques, etc.

Hello Dean
Have you checked out http://www.trainerbase.co.uk where you can download many resources including activities for use in this way. The resources are left by trainers for trainers (sharing resources)
Hope that helps
