Hi
I currently work for a NHS Trust, and in order to create an awareness of diversity, and help people to manage diversity, we're looking to employ someone to deliver diversity training to staff. However, although we may be able to partly fund this, we won't be able to fully fund it.
Has any one been successful in applying for funding from various streams for this kind of thing? If so, any guidance or direction would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Kirsten

Diversity Training
I have no direct experience of part funders for a subject that is my top favourite and speciality. However, I am sure that various European Objective 3 money or indeed National Govt monies may be available under any positive action initiatives. Have you thought too about involving others in a sector consortium or training someone well to subsequently cascade? I have utilised this model for clients in your position. I am sure many others would too.

Diversity -self learning
Although not in answer to the funding question, we have recently booked and succesfully rolled out a self-learning ‘diversity’ package. For £15 per head, the employee receives a workbook with many real life examples and then sits a telephone test (by a certain time to prevent the book gathering dust in a in-tray, usually 4 – 6 weeks). Upon passing the telephone test the employee receives a certificate in respecting diversity. It really is cost-effective and the test embedds the learning. Its another option and / or a good way to complement other types of learning.
