Equality and Diversity training

default-16x9

I have a client who wishes to support an internally produced publication on their company E & D policies with an 'interactive' taster/awareness raising session. I know there are lots of books out there, but has anyone found a source of generic E & D games/case studies/role plays/activities etc. that they would recommend?

Many thanks.

  1. Video resources
    Jo,

The Disability Rights Commission produce some excellent resource materials and videos on disability issues.

There is one called “Talk” which is free to order from their website: http://www.drc-gb.org
The video is 15 minutes long and is set in a society where everyone apart from 1 person has some form of disability and it shows how he is discriminated against for being “able bodied”. It is light hearted and amusing but also has a strong impavt on watching it.

  2. Designer and Deliverer
Jo I’ve designed and delivered EO and Diversity courses over the past c4 years for the public, private and voluntary sectors. These have included word-matching exercises using laminated cards to explore the power and significance of language in EO, a game on The Law styled after Call My Bluff and written visualisations.

Please call me if you’d like to discuss purchasing any.

    Best wishes
