I've heard a story of a company (I heard it was in Texas) which was recruiting loads of people and wondered about the value of an induction programme. So they gave some intakes a 'gold standard' full induction, some a cut-down 'silver standard' induction and others a basic 'bronze standard' induction. When they measured the new hires' commitment to their new firm, they found the results you'd expect. I heard the differences were still measureable years later!
Does anyone have the details of this experiement? Is there a website, report or academic study? Because if it's just a folk tale I'll stop using it.

not one I’ve heard of!
In the course of developing a diagnostic to look at the efficacy of induction, I’ve searched through a great deal of past academic research and I’ve never heard of this one. And from the research I’ve done, I’m not sure how likely the outcome you recall is, either!
