I'm trying to put together a performance management workshop for a group of participants from different countries, who are all responsible for performance management in their respective companies. I'm looking for a 'guru' of sorts, somebody who could answer questions about problems of implementation, or getting management commitment, or extending PM to wider range employees, etc. Can anyone make some recommendations about how to go about finding such a subject expert with enough industry knowledge, who is able to go into the details and not just lecture about theory?

keep it simple!
I believe that performance management systems fail for many reasons but most of these are quite generic. I don’t think an industry specialist is so vital for initial training. I would be happy to elaborate on this further by e-mail.

Performance Management
There are a number of ways to discuss cross- culture performance management as it does vary between nations. We would approach it by offering International case studies as these are more meaningful with a larger audience and can make a significant impact visually as we deliver through Multi Media. if you wish to discuss this further please email us.

Some of the most advanced thinking is from Aubrey Daniels (US) his book Bringing out the Best in People is ISBN 0-07-135145-0 contact via the Quo Group 0208 987 2400. Brilliant stuff and ahead of most current thinking! Quo might also be available they’re VERY good.
